Edmund Johnson (b. ca. 1612) and his wife, Mary, emigrated from England to New England in 1635, and by 1639 had settled in Hampton, New Hampshire. Elisha Johnson (1782-1855), a direct descendant in the sixth generation, lived in Sanbornton, New Hampshire. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, Pennsylvania, Iowa, Nebraska, Wisconsin, Minnesota and elsewhere.
