Timothy Edwards (1738-1813), son of Jonathan and Sarah Pierpont Edwards, was born in Northampton, Massachusetts. He married Rhoda Ogden, daughter of Robert and Phebe Hatfield Ogden of New Jersey in 1760. Ancestry is traced to William Edwards who came to this country from England ca. 1640. Descendants lived in Illinois, Nebraska, New York, Massachusetts, Connecticut, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, Ohio, and elsewhere.
