The pastor of New Afton Congregational Church dies and is replaced by a modernistic young pastor. Jean Whitney puts a question point blank and gets an answer that ends her search for truth and sends her into the godless world. An evangelist conducts Jean's funeral and turns it into an altar call. A new pastor, who is a defender of the Faith, takes over.
