Flowers have been an integral part of Indian culture and society. Floriculture may be defined as "the art and knowledge of growing flowers to perfection" or in other words, "floriculture is the discipline of horticulture that includes the study of growing flowering plants".Floriculture includes farming of flowering and ornamental plants for gardens and floristry, comprising the floral industry. Floriculture crops include house plants, flowering garden and pot plants, cut cultivated greens and cut flowers. The cultivation of these flowering plants can be done in open fields, in polyhouses or in green houses.
