Description

The Conger family is said to have originated in Alsace, in northeastern France. At that time, their name was Königer. John Conger, the earliest known ancestor, left with his family about the time of the Protestant persecutions by the French government. They settled first in England where they anglocized the name to Conger, and then immigrated to America. Descendants live in the United States.
