Nicholas Beery (Bieri) was born ca. 1697 in the Canton of Berne, Switzerland. He and his wife, Barbara, were married ca. 1720 in the Palatinate. They had nine children, ca. 1722-1741. The family immigrated to York County, Pennsylvania, in 1727. He died in York County, Pennsylvania. Descendants lived in Pennsylvania, Illinois, Indiana, Ohio, Kansas, and elsewhere.
