The author recounts a mission trip he and Charles Bodington made to New Zealand from 1884 to 1886. Along with his experiences there, he tells of his impressions of the United States of America, Hawaii, Australia, Java, Ceylon, and Aden as he traveled around the world to and from New Zealand.
