James Blair (d.1748) moved from Scotland to England, and immigrated to Henrico County, Virginia, later moving to Jamestown and then to Williamsburg, Virginia, whree he founded William and Mary College. John Banister (d.1787) was the son of John Banister the famous English botanist who had immigrated to Virginia; John (d.1787) served with the colonists during the Revolutionary War, married twice, and died in Dinwiddie County, Virginia. George Braxton (fl.1720) immigrated from England to King William County, Virginia; one of his sons (Carter Braxton) signed the Declaration of Independence. Descendants and relatives of these three immigrants lived in Virginia, Kentucky, North Carolina, Pennsylvania, Maryland, Delaware, Michigan, Minnesota, California and elsewhere.
