Thomas Horton, Barnabas Horton, and Levi Horton all immigrated from England to Massachusetts within some 13 years or so after the Mayflower, and they are "... the subjects of this research"-- (P. xxii). Thomas Horton settled at Springfield, Massachusetts. Levi Horton was probably descended from Jeremy Horton, the sea captain, rather than from Jeremiah Horton as recorded in George F. Horton's book. Barnabas Horton (1600-1680) and his family immigrated with Capt. Jeremy Horton to Hampton, Massachusetts. He moved in 1640 to New Haven, Connecticut, and then to Southold, Suffolk County, New York. Descendants and relatives lived in New England, New York, Pennsylvania, Michigan and elsewhere. Includes some history of the Horton ancestry and genealogical data in England.
