Within agri- and aquaculture, a specific bioeconomy challenge – and a bioeconomy opportunity – has been identified concerning sustainable protein supply for livestock production and fish farming. Today, imported soy products are by far the most important protein source however several alternative ways of producing protein rich feed has been identified using regional resources. Production of legumes, pulses and grass can be expanded. Alternative protein rich sources include single cell protein (bacteria/fungi), macroalgae (seaweed), mussels and insects. Local protein production has a number of benefits in the form of generation of local jobs, reduction in the import of nutrients and in general boosting the bioeconomy. Many of the alternative ways of producing protein rich feed are still under development, this report therefor also includes recommendations concerning how to proceed.

Surface Chemistry of Froth Flotation

The process of froth flotation is an outstanding example of applied surface chemistry. It is extensively used in the mining, mineral, metallurgical, and chemical industries for separation and selective concentration of individual minerals and other solids. Substances so concentrated serve as raw materials for producing appropriate metals and chemicals. The importance of flotation in technology is chiefly due to the ease with which it can be made selective and versatile and to the economy of the process. The objective of this book is to review the fundamentals of surface chemistry together with the relevant aspects of organic and inorganic chemistry that-in the opinion of the author-are important ~ control of the froth flotation process. The review updates the information that had been available in books by Sutherland and Wark (1955), Gaudin (1957), Klassen and Mokrousov (1963), and GIembotsky et al. (1963). It emphasizes mainly the surface chemical aspects of the process, leaving other relevant topics such as hydrodynamics, mechanical and electrical technology, cir cuit design and engineering, operations research, instrumentation tech nology, modeling, etc., to appropriate specialized treatments.

Two are translations from the Dutch; three have not been published previously. Some few studies address philological problems, but most try to explain the thought of the biblical text. There are full-fledged articles and also brief notes. Bringing them together in one volume will prove useful to students of Paul, of Pauline Literature and of The Book of Revelation. These essays are the result of years of teaching experience and extensive research. This book consists of two parts: Pauline and Deutero-Pauline Letters, the larger one, and The Book of Revelation, the smaller. The first part considers Paul's view of the law, his eschatological convictions and his reasoning regarding the resurrection of Christ and of the Christians. The second part examines the ecclesiology and the climatic composition of The Book of Revelation. The movement from judgments to blessings is carefully investigated.
