This is a biography of Britain's Frederick Selous, a celebrated hunter, naturalist, conservationist, and soldier. Much of Selous' life revolved around Africa, as he fought there with the British Army, hunted big game for many years, and had new specied and nature reserves on the continent named after him. Selous' passion for hunting took him all over the world; chapter 10 of this book contains details of three different hunting expedtions to Newfoundland.
