Samuel Wildbore (ca. 1595-1656) was the first known Wildbore immigrant to America. He and his wife, Ann, were married in England and came with their children to America in 1633. They joined the First Boston Church in Boston, Massachusetts, later moving to Providence, Rhode Island, for religious freedom. After Ann died, Samuel married Elizabeth Lechford, the widow of Thomas Lechford. Some related families still live(d) in England. Descendants and other related families live(d) in Massachusetts, Rhode Island, Pennsylvania, Ohio, New York, and elsewhere.

A subject index, "compiled in compliance with the provisions of a joint resolution approved March 3, 1897, which directs the preparation of an index to all publications of the government from 1881, the date at which the Descriptive catalogue of government publications by Ben: Perley Poore terminates, to 1893, the date at which the index by the superintendent of documents begins, said index to conform in its general plan to ...
