This book archives, in narrative form, the important activities of the Eighty-Fifth Pennsylvania Volunteer Regiment, Infantry, from the inception of the organization until it was mustered out of the service. Reminiscent narratives written by surviving members, biographical sketches, and portraits of officers and men as they appeared while serving with the Regiment, are included. These articles were written by men who were not only soldiers, good and true, but they also bear evidence that their authors were men of keen observation and accuracy of statement.
