"My Poetic Journey" is a collection of poems from over the years, that I've written expressing my thoughts, moods, feelings and views of things, as well as people and issues which had an influence on my life.
Titles include "I look pretty," "Fun," "Riding on the train," "Harriet Tubman," and "By myself."
William Makepeace Thackeray (1811–1863) was a British au-thor and novelist mostly known for his satirical works such as “Vanity Fair” that showed an ironic representation of the British society of those times. “The History of Pendennis” is a novel set in nineteenth-century England, mostly in London. The book tells the story of a young gentleman Arthur Pendennis from a coun-tryside, who travels to London to ? nd his place in society. In line with other Thackeray’s works, the novel is a satiric picture of the English aristocratic society, which includes all sorts of snobbish and sometimes detestable characters.
